On Thursday 10th September, our care home residents joined forces with the Birmingham Mind Associate Group for a special walk and talk session on World Suicide Prevention Day. The session was a chance for everyone joining to take a well-being walk to chat informally about the stigma of suicide in our communities alongside our personal connections with suicide.
The group met at the Sutton Park Visitor Centre before setting off on a gentle stroll through the local area, chatting and getting to know one another as they went.
The walk was a great opportunity for residents to get fresh air and exercise while raising awareness of an important issue.
